ABOUT DICK VESPERMAN . . .
As a real estate professional in the I-580/680 corridor for over 30 years, and a survivor of three distinct real estate recessions, Dick brings exceptional knowledge and experience to each real estate inquiry and transaction.
Dick provides a full complement of real estate services for buyers, sellers, real estate investors and renters throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties, with a special emphasis on homes in San Ramon, Danville, Blackhawk, Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore.
In an independent survey by one the Bay Area’s leading consumer rating agencies, Dick received a 97 per cent satisfaction rating from a random selection of past clients, an outstanding satisfaction rating, rarely achieved in such surveys.
Both buyers and sellers have benefitted from Dick’s expertise, marketing and negotiating strategies and attention to detail. His long list of clients includes first-time home-buyers, real estate investors, upsizers, downsizers, family trusts, retirees, senior citizens, corporations, real estate investment groups, and families and singles being relocated.
Dick has served on the Boards of Directors of the Metro-List MLS service and California Real Estate Brokers, Inc., and developed a nationally recognized residential relocation manual for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use during hazardous waste cleanups in residential neighborhoods.
Prior to his career in real estate, Dick managed a construction financing program for hospitals and other health care facilities in five western states and served as Lead Environmental Planner for the State of Oregon. He has also worked as a budget and financial analyst, an environmental project manager, and a journalist.
Always active in the community, Dick has coached soccer, served on PTA boards and School Site committees, and is past president of the Board of Trustees of the Contra Costa Mosquito Abatement and Vector Control District, where he represented the City of San Ramon for 17 years. He coordinated an annual Holiday Sing-Along Performance of Handel’s Messiah on behalf of the San Ramon Arts Council for 20 years and has served on a variety of community boards and committees.
Married for over 45 years, Dick has three adult daughters and three grandsons. His wife, Sue, is a retired Registered Nurse with a specialty in newborn intensive care. (Also, in an unrelated matter, she makes a killer jalapeño jelly). Dick holds the B.A. degree from Wheaton College, Illinois, the M.A. degree from Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, and has pursued M.B.A. studies at Pepperdine University.
